Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-14
Buggyverse is operated by Spartan IT LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
- Account details and login data such as username, email address, password hash, email verification state, and approved sign-in methods such as Google OAuth if you choose them.
- Profile and product activity such as room participation, timers, tasks, habits, notes, notifications, friendships, direct messages, room chat, reports, and other in-product interactions.
- Social content data such as posts, comments, reactions, visibility choices, moderation state, reviewer actions, and attached images/files you submit.
- Technical metadata such as IP history, device/browser data, cookies or similar identifiers, session data, rate-limit and authentication events, and device-level abuse-prevention records used for security and operations.
- Support, trust, and moderation data such as reports, enforcement actions, safety evidence, appeal records, temporary moderation media, and staff review notes.
- Diagnostics and measurement data such as service logs, crash/error telemetry, and analytics events used to understand feature usage and investigate operational problems.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve the service.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Operate rooms, messaging, social posts, comments, content visibility settings, and related community features.
- Enforce community rules and moderation policies.
- Run automated and human moderation workflows, including AI-assisted text/image review, abuse detection, staff review queues, and appeal handling.
- Support accountability/scolding mode operations (behavioral prompts, policy checks, and enforcement workflow).
- Measure product usage, monitor errors, investigate incidents, and improve reliability, safety, and abuse prevention.
- Send service-related emails (verification, security, recovery).
3. Social Content, Moderation, and Visibility
- Content you publish may be visible according to the audience or visibility model of that feature, such as public, public-unlisted, friends-only, private, room-limited, or staff-only review visibility.
- Posts and comments may be automatically approved, held for review, rejected, hidden, or removed based on rule-based and AI-assisted moderation systems plus staff review.
- Staff moderators and authorized reviewers may access reports, evidence, content status, moderation notes, and related audit data as needed to investigate abuse and enforce rules.
- We may preserve or review content and metadata linked to abuse, ban evasion, safety incidents, fraud, or legal requests.
4. Cookies, Device Signals, Analytics, and Error Monitoring
- Buggyverse uses cookies or similar mechanisms for sessions, CSRF/security handling, login continuity, and device-based abuse prevention.
- We may maintain device-linked anti-abuse records, including device hashes, IP history, and related technical metadata, to detect suspicious activity, investigate incidents, and prevent repeat abuse or ban evasion.
- We use analytics and telemetry tools, including Google Analytics and service/error monitoring such as GlitchTip or compatible Sentry-style tooling, to measure product usage, detect failures, and investigate operational issues.
- These tools may process technical details such as page/event usage, device/browser context, request metadata, and error context needed to debug and improve the service.
5. Data Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, communications, moderation, storage, authentication, and security service providers strictly to operate Buggyverse.
- We may disclose data when legally required, to enforce our Terms, to respond to abuse or safety incidents, or to protect users, Buggyverse, or the public.
6. Data Retention
- We retain data as needed to operate the platform, maintain security, support moderation, investigate abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Moderation, appeals, anti-abuse, and audit records may be retained longer when necessary for safety, enforcement consistency, or compliance.
- Scolding/accountability images and temporary moderation evidence are stored only for short operational windows when configured that way, then deleted or rotated out according to the active retention rules.
7. Security
- We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, operational monitoring, and security-focused infrastructure practices.
- No internet service is 100% secure; users are responsible for account hygiene, approved login use, and strong passwords where passwords apply.
8. Accountability/Scolding Mode Notice
- Accountability/scolding mode is intended for productivity and safety policy enforcement, not medical or mental-health treatment.
- Automated detections and actions may be AI-assisted and may produce false positives/negatives.
- Scolding-mode photos/snapshots are temporary operational data and are deleted after short-term processing/retention.
- This feature is not a substitute for emergency, clinical, or crisis services.
9. Your Rights
- You may request account/data review, correction, or deletion subject to legal, safety, moderation, and operational limits.
10. Contact
For privacy requests or concerns, contact the Buggyverse support/moderation channel.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the product evolves, including when we add or change social features, moderation systems, analytics, integrations, or safety practices. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
